June has been such good fun.
It started with attending the Hay literacy festival with my fellow 50th birthday year friend. I have never been before and it was such great fun. We saw an amazing lady who told us about her book craftivism, it was totally fascinating. Sarah Corbett has taken craft and used it to influence the countries biggest movers and shakers, by using handmade gifts with a political message to put across hers and others like hers point of view.
We have decided we are going to go every year, and im even thinking of taking my niece to the winter festival.
From there we went onto Tenby for a lovely family holiday, I love the Pembrokeshire coastline and have had many holidays here over the year, so when deciding about where to go for my family holiday this year, I didnt have to think twice.
We were so lucky the weather was beautiful, and I cant remember the last time that I had a holiday in the UK and the kids got to swim in the sea. Nothing like a UK holiday when the weather is good, we had some lovely days out and the all important fish and chips at the seaside.
Finally I have had some lovely interaction with my customers this month, I had to ask customers if they were happy to wait for their orders while I was on holiday and all of them did and sent some lovely happy holiday messages.
I also had a customer who sent me a photo of one of the things she makes using my buttons. They are so cute and very different.
Talking about different the other customer is called DashAclothing on facebook. When I had a look at what she made, the thing I loved most was the fabrics she used, and of course the individuality of her customers. This is an example of what she makes, do go have a look.
