July Sunshine and Vintage Buttons

Well I dont think anyone can complain we haven't had a summer this year.  Its been beautiful, and even this freckly redhead has managed to get a bit of colour!

We have finally finished the house, with the decorating now complete both inside and out.  The decorator was a lovely chap called Mark, and if any one in the Staffordshire area was ever looking for a recommendation look for CCI in Stafford. So I think we may now do nothing for a few years!!

We have had a lovely couple of days at the races this month, we saw Paloma Faith at one which was excellent, and should of seen Tom Jones at York but due to thunderstorms the concert was cancelled, which was a real shame, but it was very very wet!

I met an amazing woman and her husband at the beginning of the month who I bought some amazing vintage buttons from.  I would be the first to say I havent got a clue about vintage buttons, but when the lady showed me what she had I decided to have a try.

She used to run her own knitwear design company during the 70's-90's and used to sell her goods to lots of top end retailers.  When she retired she still had lots of stock of buttons, so she approached me to see if I was interested.  The assortment includes everything from hand painted ceramic buttons to extraordinary gem centred buttons.  Some of them could of walked of the Dallas or Dynasty TV set!

Anyway I bought them off her and you can see them on the website, as I have a little foray into the unknown!
