Well this has felt like the longest winter, with snow in Spring, and all the usual signs of changing weather appearing later than usual. We did however manage to eat outside on one evening and dry the washing on the line, so positive signs.
What I have been doing is bringing in Spring/Summer lines Beach hut, butterfly, ladybird ribbons, bees, sea shell and ice cream buttons. All making me eager for some warmer weather. However some of my Christmas lines have been selling really well, just reminding me that a lot of my customers make things to sell, and while im looking at Spring they are making for Christmas.
I had a really lovely little request for some free buttons for a school that were hoping to run a sewing club. The teacher was going to do a lesson on how to sew on a button and wanted a variety of different fixtures for them to try. I get lots of requests for free buttons, and this was one I was really happy to help with. I think something as simple as new buttons on an old blouse can be enough to make someone think about trying knitting or sewing and creating something for themselves.
So I hope you all have a lovely May, we have lot to look forward to this month, which I will tell you all about in the next blog.
This has been this months best selling button, this is one of my favourites too
